Emerson First Grade

My name is Mrs. Kucera and I am very excited about the amazing first-grade year we will have together.

 

My education and training includes a Bachelor's of Science in K-8 education. Additionally, I have earned a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis for Pre-K through 3rd Grade (ages 4-8) and a second Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching a variety of ages and subject areas since 2012.

 

In first grade, we work hard to advance our knowledge and skills in the areas of Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, Writing, and Social-Emotional Skills. Additionally, we emphasize self-control, safe & respectful choices, kindness, helping each other, and having a growth mindset.
