Miss Uhing

Hello Emerson Eagles! I hope you all had a fun and relaxing summer. My name is Miss Uhing and I am SO excited to meet you all and be your teacher this year!  We are going to have an amazing time together in First Grade. 

 

I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating from high school, I moved to Kearney to attend UNK. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a Math Minor and a Communication Disorders Minor in May of 2021. When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family, friends and my dog Tucker. I enjoy going for walks, reading, watching movies, and traveling!

 

In first grade, we work hard to advance our knowledge and skills in the areas of Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, Writing, and Social-Emotional Skills. Additionally, we emphasize self-control, safe & respectful choices, kindness, helping each other, and having a growth mindset.
